Rosie Huntington

RosieQueen Latifah was born Dana Elaine Owens on March 18th, 1970 in Newark, New Jersey. The second daughter of Lance and Rita Owens, Latifah is most famous for her involvement in public speaking skills, social politics and gift for rhyme. A Muslim cousin gave Latifah the nickname "delicate sensitive" when she was just eight years old. Latifah began singing with the Shiloh Baptist Choir in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Her first performance was when she sang "Home" in the role of Dorothy in a show of The Wizard of Oz at St. Anne's Parochial School. Latifah's mother was a catalyst and she kept in touch with the children and music. Mark James, a local disc jockey who is also called D.J., was invited to the event. Mark the 45 King, invited her to attend the school dance.
