Alison Maria Krauss started her music career early, winning local competitions at the age of 10. She recorded for the first album at 14. The year 1985 saw her signing by Rounder Records. Her first solo album came out in 1987. She was also invited to the group Alison Krauss Union Station where she is still performing. Then, in 1989 her first solo album came out in conjunction with the band.
