Dua Lipa is an English artist/singer who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. She signed a contract with Warner Bros Records after a couple of years of work and dropped her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. It peaked in at third place in the U.K. album chart, and featured eight singles including the U.K. number one song New Rules and Be the One. I.D.G.A.F. Lipa was awarded an award at the Brit Awards in the year 2018 for British Female Solo Artist as well as British Breakthrough Act and her album has been certified platinum across the globe in a variety of countries. Dua Lipa was born 22nd August 1995, in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa has Bosnian ancestry through her grandmother. Her ancestors can also be identified back to the Kosovo city of Peja. Lipa's grandfathers are both historians. Her brother is Gjin Lipa as well as a sister Rina. Lipa's musical influences came from her father, who is the guitarist and singer of Kosovan the rock group Oda. Her father played music in the family, which included songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began singing around the age of five. When she was nine years old, Lipa started to sing at the Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa recorded If I Ain't I Gotta You By Alicia Keys and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera to be uploaded on YouTube. Lipa was given a recording contract from Warner Bros. Records in 2014.
